Among the many things Stu Curtis did in Salt Lake was play with a Jazz quartet known as Mainstream. (L to R) Bassist Andy, Drummer Guillermo, Reed Man Stuart, and Guitarist Kevin circa 1981. The group had originally been formed by a professor from the University of Utah who played tenor sax. (Anybody here remember his name?) Mainstream was one of the first musical acts to perform regularly at Tom Bolan's Hole In The Wall Saloon. (See my little memoir about the place.) The band later acquired a quality woman singer, and even featured a tap-dancer for awhile!

Welcome Curious Allies and Troupers!

Especially the many contacts from Facebook!

If you're already signed in, just hit New Post above right and start typing. Those little icons at the top of the box will say what they do if you "hover" your mouse over them -- fresh perspectives, new links, and more pictures are what this blog is about!
If you want to sign in -- click on the funny-looking "B" in the upper left corner, and use the email address I used for your invitation. (How much or how little info you wish to leave is up to you!)

ANYBODY can comment, that includes Facebookers who haven't sent me an email yet -- but I use one of those "captcha" thingies to help keep automated spammers and scumware merchants away.

A Thirty Year Tradition Continues Today:

Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas in pantomime -- Woody Whitney on violin, Gary McDonough narration, and Patsy Droubay portraying all the characters, in and around Salt Lake City, Utah leading up to the Holidays.

Check out the beginning of Patsy Droubay's Scrapbook Page from Chapter 11 -- Outline.

Lovely Suzzette from De Melkweg and Michael Evans share a snapshot in the University District of A'Dam in 1975.
Do any of our fellow bloggers remember her last name?
Thanks to Ellen B for the photo!
